will hold a two and a half day residential workshop on developing a protocol for a Cochrane Systematic review from
Monday, June 23rd, 2008 (9 AM) to Wednesday (1 PM), June 25, 2008.
Monday June 23 and Tuesday June 24: 9 am to 5 pm

Who should attend?
This workshop is meant for those who have a registered title for a Cochrane Systematic Review with a Cochrane Review group ( will be given priority) or for those who have a topic in mind that they wish to register for a Cochrane Systematic Review. This is not an introductory workshop but a hands-on workshop for those who are serious about doing a Cochrane Systematic review.
This protocol workshop is for systematic reviews of interventions in healthcare and not primarily to develop a protocol for systematic reviews of diagnostic test accuracy. However, a session devoted to the special issues related to diagnostic tests will be taken if there are interested participants.
The workshop will use a mix of didactic teaching, demonstrations, group discussions and hands on work with RevMan 5 software and will cover all aspects of developing and writing a protocol for publication for a Cochrane Systematic review.
Resource persons include Prof. Prathap Tharyan and Prof. Thambu David Sudarsanam from the South Asian Cochrane Network who will provide mentorship to participants during and after the workshop in completing the protocol and the review.
Rs. 1000 per participant; registration will cover all resource materials and lunch and refreshments on workshop days. This does not include accommodation
