Workshop on Developing a Protocol for a Cochrane Systematic Review

Who should attend?
This workshop is meant for those who have a registered title for a Cochrane Systematic review with the Cochrane Collaboration or are working on a registered protocol for a Cochrane Systematic review or wish to understand in detail the steps involved in undertaking a systematic review.
During this workshop, participants will be helped to develop and write a draft protocol for their review and learn to use RevMan 5 and Grade Pro software.

OBJECTIVES:

Monday, Feb 13 , 2012	Introduction to Evidence Informed Healthcare.
Tuesday,Feb 14, 2012	Developing a Protocol for a Systematic Review & Introduction to RevMan
Wednesday,Feb 15, 2012	Searching for and selecting trials and assessing Risk of Bias
Thursday, Feb 16, 2012	Data Extraction and Meta-analysis
Friday, Feb 17, 2012	Summary of findings and grading recommendations using GRADE PRO

Dates and time: February 13th (Monday) – February 17th (Friday), 2012 - 9 am to 5 pm.

Venue:SACNC/CMC CREST Conference room; Centre for Stem Cell Research, Christian Medical College, Vellore- 632002, Tamil Nadu, India

Registration Fee Details:
Rs. 3000/- (Rs. Three Thousand only) for delegates from academic Institutions.
Rs 5000/- (Rs Five thousand only) for delagates from Industries.
No Students Concession will be provided for this workshop.
The registration cost covers resource materials, refreshments, and lunch on workshop days and a social evening. This does not cover accommodation costs.

Once registration is accepted, kindly send us the registration fee by a bank draft favoring "CMC Vellore Association" A/C payable at the State Bank of India, Bagayam, Vellore. The registration fee includes resource materials, refreshments, lunch on all days. Participants from CMC, Vellore can make their internal payments to AC 22P145.
